KILIM is a name given to lint-free, thick hair or wool weaving, which is used as a carpet, laid in places such as upholstery, cedar, sofa, etc., decorated with various colors and lines.

Kilim, which is one of the important branches of Turkish weaving art, is generally used for laying houses and tents. Although it is woven for almost the same functions as the carpet, its techniques and pattern characteristics are quite varied. In addition to weft and warp, there are knots on the carpet which are the third element.
